Dinner with the Dwyers is an upcoming horror-comedy from director Edward Payson. Payson served as production staff on hit shows like “Blue Mountain State,” “Halloween Wars” and “Sonny with a Chance” before heading off to become his own boss. Since then he’s directed short films including The Cohasset Snuff Film in 2012 and Book Club in 2014, and he’s hoping to make Dinner with the Dwyers another film festival wonder in 2015!
Based on the original screenplay by Trevor Wight, Dinner with the Dwyers will follow, “a serial killer who finds himself out of his element when he accompanies his girlfriend to a family dinner in hopes of impressing her eccentric parents.” Wright previously wrote the scripts for two 2009 indie success stories, Sculpture and The Green Monster. Marv Blauvelt and Maureen Whelan are set to co-produce this forthcoming title.
